Here are four events I have planned and executed. I have attached brief descriptions about the event and for more information on these or my other events please email me.

Light the Night Walk / Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Info: Funds therapies and treatments needed for blood cancer patients

Main Responsibility:

Maintain donation database

Preparation:

Coordinate with volunteers and explain recruitment process with participants,

Create advertising flyers to recruit college aged participants,

Package & mail out participants’ event packages,

Organize and print promotional materials for event day  

Execution:  

Set up & Tear down,

Work at sign in table & balloon tent

Recap:

Manage donation database,

Mail out thank you letters & tax exempt forms to donors

Results:

Over 10,000 attendees with over $700,000 in donations  

International Media Day / Duquesne University

Info: Duquesne students speak about the differences and similarities of media in their culture

Main Responsibility:

Team liaison communicator between team members and others

Preparation:

Advertising Tactics- table & wall flyers, mass emails, social media sites, professors encouragement,

Recruitment for participants,   

Select and coordinate food vendors,

Create event day “passport” booklet for the different booths,

Select and purchase raffle baskets

Execution:  

Set up & tear down,

Work registration table,

People on the street advertising

Recap:

Survey with feedback for future events

Results:

Over 60 attendees with 80% of positive remarks

Writer Meet Ups / S. Stray Publishing

Info: Educate Pittsburgh writers on the writing, publishing, and marketing processes

Main Responsibility:

Organize and host events

Preparation:

Advertising Tactics- social media sites & blog sites,

Create meeting itinerary,

Warm up writing exercises,

Provide snacks    

Execution:  

Host event

Recap:

Meeting notes & feedbacks

Results:

Repeat attendees with positive remarks  

 

Anti-Bullying Campaign / SSP

Info: Motivational speaker, Brent Poppen, on the side effects of bullying & educating children about spinal injuries

Main Responsibility:

Spread Brent’s message from California to Pennsylvania

Preparation:

Contact elementary schools to host Brent,

Contact potential sponsors,

Create potential itinerary
